Dragon Gate Studio Ltd. ("we", "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect through dragongate.studio, why we collect it, and your rights. This policy is part of our Terms of Service.
1. Data We Collect
Information you provide
When you sign up for early access, you submit the following:

Information collected automatically
We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand how visitors interact with our site. GA4 collects anonymized data including pages visited, time on site, referral source, device type, and general geographic region. Google Analytics uses cookies to distinguish unique users. This data helps us improve the site and measure the effectiveness of our outreach. You can opt out of Google Analytics by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
Cloudflare, our hosting provider, also collects standard web traffic data including IP addresses, browser type, and pages visited for security and performance purposes.
2. How We Use Your Data
We use your data to:
- Send you early access invitations when slots open
- Send occasional updates about the Crowhollow campaign and Dragon Gate Studio (no more than a few per month)
- Improve the product based on aggregate preferences
- Respond to your questions or requests
We do not sell your data. We do not use your data for advertising. We do not share your personal information with third parties for their marketing purposes.
3. Third-Party Services
We use the following services that process your data:
- Google Analytics 4 (Google) — anonymized website usage analytics. Google Privacy Policy

- Cloudflare — hosts the site and provides security/CDN services. Cloudflare Privacy Policy
- GitHub — hosts our source code (no user data stored). GitHub Privacy Statement
4. Data Storage and Security
Your signup data is transmitted securely over HTTPS to a Cloudflare Worker, which forwards it to Mailchimp's servers. Your API key and account credentials are never exposed to your browser. We use industry-standard security measures including HTTPS, Content Security Policy headers, and strict transport security.
Mailchimp stores data primarily in the United States. By signing up, you consent to this transfer.
5. Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as you remain subscribed to our mailing list. If you unsubscribe, your data is archived by Mailchimp in accordance with their retention policies. You may request complete deletion at any time (see section 7).
6. Cookies
This site does not use marketing cookies, social media cookies, or tracking pixels. The cookies we use are:
- Google Analytics (
_ga,_ga_*) — analytics cookies used to distinguish unique visitors and track sessions. Expire after 2 years and 24 hours respectively. You can opt out via the Google Analytics Opt-out Add-on. - Cloudflare (
__cf_bm) — essential security cookie for bot detection. Expires after 30 minutes.
Cloudflare's Web Analytics beacon also collects anonymized performance metrics and is entirely cookie-free.
7. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Unsubscribe — every email includes an unsubscribe link. One click, immediate effect.
- Access your data — request a copy of all data we hold about you.
- Correct your data — request corrections to inaccurate information.
- Delete your data — request permanent deletion of all your data from our systems and third-party services.
- Data portability — request your data in a machine-readable format.
To exercise any of these rights, email admin@dragongate.studio. We will respond within 30 days.
If you are unsatisfied with our response, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the relevant authority. In New Zealand, this is the Office of the Privacy Commissioner. In the EU/UK, contact your local data protection supervisory authority.
8. Children's Privacy
This site is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 16. If you believe a child has submitted data to us, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
9. International Users and Legal Basis
Dragon Gate Studio Ltd. is based in New Zealand and operates under the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020. If you are in the European Economic Area (EEA), UK, or other jurisdiction with data protection laws, our legal basis for processing your data is your consent (given when you submit the signup form). You may withdraw consent at any time by unsubscribing or contacting us.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy as our services evolve. Material changes will be communicated via email to subscribers. The effective date at the top of this page will be updated accordingly.
